Hand Forged 18th Century Style Knife with Antler handle (Hunting, Camping & Outdoor Adventure)

My inspiration comes from historical examples of North American cutlery, adapted for modern outdoor requirements. This traditional knife designed to be a multi- purpose tool that is capable of all tasks from light chopping, brush clearing and butchering tasks as well as being used as a substitute for axe work.

The blade is traditionally hand forged from high carbon steel in our outdoor workshop. Once forging is completed, the blade goes through a heat treating and tempering cycle to give a reliable but sharp edge, adding to the authentic Scottish blacksmithing experience.

The handle is crafted from sustainably sourced Red Deer antler, utilising the natural shape to best affect. Reclaimed steel completes the knife acting as a hard wearing bolster. The handle is hand finished with birch oil made over the campfire in the old fashioned way, giving it a tough weather proof coating.

It comes with a hand made bushcraft style sheath, crafted from sustainably sourced leather embossed with antler camouflage pattern. The belt loop ensures that you never loose it and it comes with our signature ever-dry tassel that allows any moisture to be wicked away from the blade.

A perfect companion to your next adventure - even if that is just in the garden.
